Strip Door Model Selection & Application Guide

Choose one of the following designs to suit your application:

Surface Mount

Uses:

Doorways where a tight seal is required. The Surface Mount mounts flush over the opening providing maximum seal.

Dimensional Requirements:

Width and height of door opening. Ensure there is a minimum of 6” clearance over the door and 3” on each side. Ensure wall will support weight of strip door.

Ordering Requirements:

• Width and height of finished strip door.
• Grade & Size of Strip Material.
• Overlap of Strips.

Angle Mount

Uses:

Doorways where no space is available for a Surface Mount. The Angle Mount mounts under the lintel of the opening.

Dimensional Requirements:

Width and height of door opening. Ensure lintel will support weight of strip door.

Ordering Requirements:

• Width and height of finished strip door.
• Grade & Size of Strip Material.
• Overlap of Strips.

Off Wall Mount

Uses:

When overhead door tracks interfere with the mounting of either an Angle or Surface Mount.

Dimensional Requirements:

Width and height of door opening. Outside width of overhead door tracks. Ensure inside wall at the side and top of overhead door will support weight of strip door. Ensure 12” projection strip door will not interfere with operation of overhead door.

Ordering Requirements:

• Width, height & projection of finished strip door.
• Grade & Size of Strip Material.
• Overlap of Strips.
  

Sliding Mount

Uses:

When temporary removal of the strip door is required.

Dimensional Requirements:

• Width and height of door opening.
• Ensure there is 12” of clearance above door and enough clearance on one side of door opening to slide strip door clear out of the way.
• Wall above door opening must be able to support weight of strip door and track.

Ordering Requirements:

• Width and height of finished strip door.
• Track length.
• Grade & Size of Strip Material.
• Overlap of Strips.
  

Two Way Swing Mount

Uses:

When temporary removal of the strip door is required and there is not enough room on the face of the wall to mount a Sliding Mount Strip Door. Two-Way Swing Brackets have a pullcord activated centre latching mechanism.

Dimensional Requirements:

• Width and height of door opening.
• Ensure jambs of door opening will support weight of strip door and brackets.

Ordering Requirements:

• Width and height of finished strip door.
• Grade & Size of Strip Material.
• Overlap of Strips.
